How To Wear A Dressy Jacket With Jeans
As you all probably know, I personally love mixing dressy and casual pieces together. For example, wearing a denim jacket with a dressy skirt or dress, wearing a lace skirt with a t-shirt or tank top, and for my personal favorite, wearing a dressy jacket with jeans, which is what I am showing you today.
Our Gabrielle Boucle Jacket is considered a somewhat dressy jacket because of its beautiful boucle fabric and the fact that it has a bit of shimmer in it as well. I have styled this jacket for you two other times and both have been more dressy looks.
So today I wanted to show you a more casual and laid-back look with this classic jacket. First a little bit about the jacket:
Our Gabrielle Boucle Jacket is made out of a beautiful boucle/tweed fabric in black and ivory with a touch of gold. Also, there are small clear sequins sewn into the weave giving the jacket a slight shimmer when it catches the light.
The body is semi shaped with long sleeves and two front patch pockets and there is a self-fringe that finishes the front placket as well as the edge of the pockets and the bottom of the sleeves.
There is also a very small gold rope trim that goes all across the front, pockets and bottom of sleeves. It is finished off with black lining and small shoulder pads.
In order to wear it more causally I am wearing it with my distressed jeans that are also lighter in color, instead of a dark wash. I am also wearing a more casual knit top under it as opposed to a dressier blouse.
The top is our Ivory Mock Neck Long Sleeve Top which is a very comfy casual top you can wear with many jackets and cardigans for fall. The body is semi shaped with a mock neck, long sleeve and the length is quite long in case you prefer leaving it out.
I have added a new necklace, our Gold Tone Multi Layer Chain Necklace with Charms. There are four layers of chains that are all attached to make this one statement necklace. I think it looks great over the mock neck top.
I am also showing you a new shawl we have just added to our shop as a second look. Our Black Ivory Red Herringbone Plaid Shawl is a super chic piece. The little bit of red in there makes it perfect for the holidays.
In order to make the look even more laid back, I am wearing my black suede booties which have lower heels and a small red cross body bag.
