Yellow Is The Hot Color Of Summer
Yellow is one of my favorite colors for summer. It is such a happy, cheerful, mood lifting, optimistic and energetic color. Since it is the color of sunshine, it is a popular color during the summer season. You will see a lot of it in the stores at this time of the year in all kinds of merchandise from clothing and accessories to patio furniture, towels and linens etc.
etc.I know some women do not like wearing yellow as they do not think it is flattering against their skin tone. However, there are a few ways you can work around this. Here is a few tips as to what kind of yellow to wear for your skin tone:
- Fair to medium skin tone – choose mustard or darker and brighter yellow shades
- Olive skin to black skin tone – All yellows work
If you still do not agree with these color analysis, stick to a yellow print that is mixed with other colors or a yellow bottom which is not next to your face. Accessories are also a great way to add some yellow to your wardrobe for summer.
Today I am showing you two different tops that I have styled for you before here and here. One is a white ground top with a yellow print, our Yellow Poppy and Butterfly Graphic Top. The second one is our Canary Yellow V Neck Top. They are both perfect tops for summer and super easy to throw on with some black pants or shorts and walk out the door. Of course they both look great with denim or other color bottoms as well.
I chose to style them with my black shorts, black espadrille sandals and bag. To finish off the look I added our fun Black Vest with Tassel Trim and Gold Leaf Necklace.
