An Afternoon Of Wine Tasting Wearing Our Ivory Vest

Last week was that time of the year again for me as my son moved back to USC for his second year there. This year he will be living in an apartment building close to campus that is very nice and has great facilities rather than the dorm rooms on campus.

He will sharing this three-bedroom unit with five other friends two in each room, so lets hope they all get along with each other, as we all know being good friends is one thing, living together is another.

So Saturday we stopped by to see the place, helped set up some furniture and offered up some decorating ideas, which suprisingly everyone agreed upon. Our house already feels empty again without him, I had gotten used to having him around for the summer, but I know the independence is good for him and I will just have to get used to it again (like I did last year) and hope he visits again on some weekends.

Sunday I just wanted a relaxing day, so my husband and I decided to head out in the afternoon for some wine tasting at a place we like in the Pasadena Playhouse district called Monopole Wine and then to get dinner somewhere nearby afterwards. I love Rose wines for summer and we found a couple of nice artisanal ones from Europe and around the world while enjoying a small cheese plate that was also very good.

For this date night of sorts, I chose to wear our Ivory vest again. (I styled this Ivory vest a couple of months ago here.) It has been a very good seller for us, but this time I wanted to pair it with my new G Star Raw jeans that I purchased in Amsterdam. When we were there I discovered that their company is actually based in Amsterdam, so the prices were much more reasonable than they are here in the States.
