A Second Look At Our Platinum Jacket
I hope everyone is as excited as I am about watching the Oscars tomorrow night. Not only because I love watching all the latest fashions on the red carpet, but my husband and I are big movie goers and always try and see all the movies that are nominated every year before the big night.
This year we actually managed to see all the movies that are nominated; my three favorites are:- The Big Short
- Spotlight
- Revenant (a bit too violent but beautifully shot and acted) Really hope Leo finally wins for best actor!
Me and my husband usually make a fun night of watching the Oscars by having some champagne and he usually cooks for me so it’s a treat for me to sit down and relax and watch all the fun festivities.
In honor of the Oscars, I decided to show you one of my looks from a couple of weeks ago when we attended a cocktail party. I know the Oscars are a black tie event with real evening gowns and I love that too, but we don’t really get to dress up that much for any occasion that is black tie and super dressy. So I thought a cocktail party comes close enough. I wanted to style our Platinum jacket again, you first saw this jacket here. I had noticed that I don’t do as many skirts or dresses with my jackets, especially during fall season, so I really wanted to style a jacket with a dress. I love wearing jackets over dresses and this was the perfect opportunity since the Platinum jacket is made out of a beautiful silver jacquard fabric and works perfectly over a dress especially for a cocktail party or a dressy social event. I chose to wear it over my satin printed dress, silver sandals and silver clutch. I added one of our brand new Y necklaces and earring sets with gray bead and suede tassel that works perfectly with this jacket.
