Anniversary Dinner Wearing Our Ivory Eyelet Jacket
I am finally back in Los Angeles and getting back to the normal after my short vacation to New York City with my son and yes, we had a wonderful time. I will do a blog story with pictures of my outfits at the end of the week, so stay tuned!
I had made sure to get back from NYC on Saturday so my husband and I could celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary together.
He had made dinner reservations for us at the Otium restaurant which is located next to the Broad Contemporary Art Museum in downtown Los Angeles. The museum and the restaurant are new attractions to the growing downtown Los Angeles social scene. They both opened in late 2015 and are definately on the must see list of the LA social scene. Unfortunatley we still have not visited the inside of the Broad Museum, but it is on the top of my list of places to visit and I will make sure to share it on the blog when I go.The Otium restaurant is adjacent to the Broad Museum and the word “Otium” is latin in origin and means to emphasize a place where time can be spent eating and enjoying leisurely social activities. It has a beautiful indoor-outdoor environment that is relaxed, causal and warm and draws inspiration from the 100-year-old olive trees that are planted in the Broad’s adjacent plaza. The chef, Timothy Hollingsworth offers a rustic style of cooking that utilizes a wood fire and sustainable ingredients that are grown in the garden on the restaurant’s mezzanine. The menu is ecclectic and unique and is filled with delicious dishes that are meant to be shared at the table.
We had a really nice evening and dinner was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting LA. One of the best ways to do this would be to visit the Broad Museum of course and have cocktails and dinner afterwards.
For this special occasion, I chose to wear our Ivory Eyelet jacket, which I debuted for the first time here, with a simple tank top and one of my favorite skirts that I have had for a long time. I finished off the look with one of our pearl necklaces, our double hoop earrings, Gucci slides and YSL bag.
